“TransFiguration” is a series of four photos inspired by shamanic trance. The connection with nature is expressed through this ancestral technique which leads to an altered state of consciousness. The movement of the body and the vibrations are accentuated thanks to the superposition of the photographs. The feathers and leather straps literally transform the dancer, bringing out her animal aspect. This work represents an attempt to connect with nature and the mother planet through dance, aiming to protect ecosystems and change the mentality of individuals towards the environment.

 

The work printed on fabric was presented in April 2022 in Tahiti at the Te Fare Natura Museum and at the Maison de la Culture and in December 2022 won the photography prize at the Salon Artistique de Bois Colombes.
